Information Report on Clarifying Waste Water

How to clean waste water.

Sally came into tell us how to clean waste water.

Firstly it went from our houses  into the primary treatment tank. The screens separates the solids from the water.

Secondly the treatment reactor clarifiers remove all the remaining germs. The super bugs come and help to remove all the left over saps so the fish don't feel horrible.

Thirdly it goes through to the ultraviolet light which takes all the left over germs and kills them all in strong sunlight light.

Lastly it goes to the sea with no germs.

Learning with Sally from Water Care

Today Room 8 learned what happens to water after it goes down a stormwater drain
or down a sewer.  We also learned that there are small insects living in the rivers, and small and larger animals living in the seas. We developed an understanding that if the wrong things are put down drains they can hurt the animals in the rivers and seas.
